In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
iomap: fix invalid folio access when i_blkbits differs from I/O granularity
Commit aa35dd5cbc06 ("iomap: fix invalid folio access after
folio_end_read()") partially addressed invalid folio access for folios
without an ifs attached, but it did not handle the case where
1 << inode->i_blkbits matches the folio size but is different from the
granularity used for the IO, which means IO can be submitted for less
than the full folio for the !ifs case.
In this case, the condition:
if (*bytes_submitted == folio_len)
ctx->cur_folio = NULL;
in iomap_read_folio_iter() will not invalidate ctx->cur_folio, and
iomap_read_end() will still be called on the folio even though the IO
helper owns it and will finish the read on it.
Fix this by unconditionally invalidating ctx->cur_folio for the !ifs
case.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
ksmbd: fix use-after-free and NULL deref in smb_grant_oplock()
smb_grant_oplock() has two issues in the oplock publication sequence:
1) opinfo is linked into ci->m_op_list (via opinfo_add) before
add_lease_global_list() is called. If add_lease_global_list()
fails (kmalloc returns NULL), the error path frees the opinfo
via __free_opinfo() while it is still linked in ci->m_op_list.
Concurrent m_op_list readers (opinfo_get_list, or direct iteration
in smb_break_all_levII_oplock) dereference the freed node.
2) opinfo->o_fp is assigned after add_lease_global_list() publishes
the opinfo on the global lease list. A concurrent
find_same_lease_key() can walk the lease list and dereference
opinfo->o_fp->f_ci while o_fp is still NULL.
Fix by restructuring the publication sequence to eliminate post-publish
failure:
- Set opinfo->o_fp before any list publication (fixes NULL deref).
- Preallocate lease_table via alloc_lease_table() before opinfo_add()
so add_lease_global_list() becomes infallible after publication.
- Keep the original m_op_list publication order (opinfo_add before
lease list) so concurrent opens via same_client_has_lease() and
opinfo_get_list() still see the in-flight grant.
- Use opinfo_put() instead of __free_opinfo() on err_out so that
the RCU-deferred free path is used.
This also requires splitting add_lease_global_list() to take a
preallocated lease_table and changing its return type from int to void,
since it can no longer fail.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
ksmbd: fix potencial OOB in get_file_all_info() for compound requests
When a compound request consists of QUERY_DIRECTORY + QUERY_INFO
(FILE_ALL_INFORMATION) and the first command consumes nearly the entire
max_trans_size, get_file_all_info() would blindly call smbConvertToUTF16()
with PATH_MAX, causing out-of-bounds write beyond the response buffer.
In get_file_all_info(), there was a missing validation check for
the client-provided OutputBufferLength before copying the filename into
FileName field of the smb2_file_all_info structure.
If the filename length exceeds the available buffer space, it could lead to
potential buffer overflows or memory corruption during smbConvertToUTF16
conversion. This calculating the actual free buffer size using
smb2_calc_max_out_buf_len() and returning -EINVAL if the buffer is
insufficient and updating smbConvertToUTF16 to use the actual filename
length (clamped by PATH_MAX) to ensure a safe copy operation.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
ksmbd: fix OOB write in QUERY_INFO for compound requests
When a compound request such as READ + QUERY_INFO(Security) is received,
and the first command (READ) consumes most of the response buffer,
ksmbd could write beyond the allocated buffer while building a security
descriptor.
The root cause was that smb2_get_info_sec() checked buffer space using
ppntsd_size from xattr, while build_sec_desc() often synthesized a
significantly larger descriptor from POSIX ACLs.
This patch introduces smb_acl_sec_desc_scratch_len() to accurately
compute the final descriptor size beforehand, performs proper buffer
checking with smb2_calc_max_out_buf_len(), and uses exact-sized
allocation + iov pinning.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
bpf: Fix unsound scalar forking in maybe_fork_scalars() for BPF_OR
maybe_fork_scalars() is called for both BPF_AND and BPF_OR when the
source operand is a constant. When dst has signed range [-1, 0], it
forks the verifier state: the pushed path gets dst = 0, the current
path gets dst = -1.
For BPF_AND this is correct: 0 & K == 0.
For BPF_OR this is wrong: 0 | K == K, not 0.
The pushed path therefore tracks dst as 0 when the runtime value is K,
producing an exploitable verifier/runtime divergence that allows
out-of-bounds map access.
Fix this by passing env->insn_idx (instead of env->insn_idx + 1) to
push_stack(), so the pushed path re-executes the ALU instruction with
dst = 0 and naturally computes the correct result for any opcode.

media: dvb-net: fix OOB access in ULE extension header tables
The ule_mandatory_ext_handlers[] and ule_optional_ext_handlers[] tables
in handle_one_ule_extension() are declared with 255 elements (valid
indices 0-254), but the index htype is derived from network-controlled
data as (ule_sndu_type & 0x00FF), giving a range of 0-255. When
htype equals 255, an out-of-bounds read occurs on the function pointer
table, and the OOB value may be called as a function pointer.
Add a bounds check on htype against the array size before either table
is accessed. Out-of-range values now cause the SNDU to be discarded.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
NFSD: Defer sub-object cleanup in export put callbacks
svc_export_put() calls path_put() and auth_domain_put() immediately
when the last reference drops, before the RCU grace period. RCU
readers in e_show() and c_show() access both ex_path (via
seq_path/d_path) and ex_client->name (via seq_escape) without
holding a reference. If cache_clean removes the entry and drops the
last reference concurrently, the sub-objects are freed while still
in use, producing a NULL pointer dereference in d_path.
Commit 2530766492ec ("nfsd: fix UAF when access ex_uuid or
ex_stats") moved kfree of ex_uuid and ex_stats into the
call_rcu callback, but left path_put() and auth_domain_put() running
before the grace period because both may sleep and call_rcu
callbacks execute in softirq context.
Replace call_rcu/kfree_rcu with queue_rcu_work(), which defers the
callback until after the RCU grace period and executes it in process
context where sleeping is permitted. This allows path_put() and
auth_domain_put() to be moved into the deferred callback alongside
the other resource releases. Apply the same fix to expkey_put(),
which has the identical pattern with ek_path and ek_client.
A dedicated workqueue scopes the shutdown drain to only NFSD
export release work items; flushing the shared
system_unbound_wq would stall on unrelated work from other
subsystems. nfsd_export_shutdown() uses rcu_barrier() followed
by flush_workqueue() to ensure all deferred release callbacks
complete before the export caches are destroyed.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
mm/rmap: fix incorrect pte restoration for lazyfree folios
We batch unmap anonymous lazyfree folios by folio_unmap_pte_batch. If the
batch has a mix of writable and non-writable bits, we may end up setting
the entire batch writable. Fix this by respecting writable bit during
batching.
Although on a successful unmap of a lazyfree folio, the soft-dirty bit is
lost, preserve it on pte restoration by respecting the bit during
batching, to make the fix consistent w.r.t both writable bit and
soft-dirty bit.
I was able to write the below reproducer and crash the kernel.
Explanation of reproducer (set 64K mTHP to always):
Fault in a 64K large folio. Split the VMA at mid-point with
MADV_DONTFORK. fork() - parent points to the folio with 8 writable ptes
and 8 non-writable ptes. Merge the VMAs with MADV_DOFORK so that
folio_unmap_pte_batch() can determine all the 16 ptes as a batch. Do
MADV_FREE on the range to mark the folio as lazyfree. Write to the memory
to dirty the pte, eventually rmap will dirty the folio. Then trigger
reclaim, we will hit the pte restoration path, and the kernel will crash
with the trace given below.
The BUG happens at:
BUG_ON(atomic_inc_return(&ptc->anon_map_count) > 1 && rw);
The code path is asking for anonymous page to be mapped writable into the
pagetable. The BUG_ON() firing implies that such a writable page has been
mapped into the pagetables of more than one process, which breaks
anonymous memory/CoW semantics.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
mm/huge_memory: fix use of NULL folio in move_pages_huge_pmd()
move_pages_huge_pmd() handles UFFDIO_MOVE for both normal THPs and huge
zero pages. For the huge zero page path, src_folio is explicitly set to
NULL, and is used as a sentinel to skip folio operations like lock and
rmap.
In the huge zero page branch, src_folio is NULL, so folio_mk_pmd(NULL,
pgprot) passes NULL through folio_pfn() and page_to_pfn(). With
SPARSEMEM_VMEMMAP this silently produces a bogus PFN, installing a PMD
pointing to non-existent physical memory. On other memory models it is a
NULL dereference.
Use page_folio(src_page) to obtain the valid huge zero folio from the
page, which was obtained from pmd_page() and remains valid throughout.
After commit d82d09e48219 ("mm/huge_memory: mark PMD mappings of the huge
zero folio special"), moved huge zero PMDs must remain special so
vm_normal_page_pmd() continues to treat them as special mappings.
move_pages_huge_pmd() currently reconstructs the destination PMD in the
huge zero page branch, which drops PMD state such as pmd_special() on
architectures with CONFIG_ARCH_HAS_PTE_SPECIAL. As a result,
vm_normal_page_pmd() can treat the moved huge zero PMD as a normal page
and corrupt its refcount.
Instead of reconstructing the PMD from the folio, derive the destination
entry from src_pmdval after pmdp_huge_clear_flush(), then handle the PMD
metadata the same way move_huge_pmd() does for moved entries by marking it
soft-dirty and clearing uffd-wp.

net: ti: icssg-prueth: Fix memory leak in XDP_DROP for non-zero-copy mode
Page recycling was removed from the XDP_DROP path in emac_run_xdp() to
avoid conflicts with AF_XDP zero-copy mode, which uses xsk_buff_free()
instead.
However, this causes a memory leak when running XDP programs that drop
packets in non-zero-copy mode (standard page pool mode). The pages are
never returned to the page pool, leading to OOM conditions.
Fix this by handling cleanup in the caller, emac_rx_packet().
When emac_run_xdp() returns ICSSG_XDP_CONSUMED for XDP_DROP, the
caller now recycles the page back to the page pool. The zero-copy
path, emac_rx_packet_zc() already handles cleanup correctly with
xsk_buff_free().

ksmbd: fix use-after-free in durable v2 replay of active file handles
parse_durable_handle_context() unconditionally assigns dh_info->fp->conn
to the current connection when handling a DURABLE_REQ_V2 context with
SMB2_FLAGS_REPLAY_OPERATION. ksmbd_lookup_fd_cguid() does not filter by
fp->conn, so it returns file handles that are already actively connected.
The unconditional overwrite replaces fp->conn, and when the overwriting
connection is subsequently freed, __ksmbd_close_fd() dereferences the
stale fp->conn via spin_lock(&fp->conn->llist_lock), causing a
use-after-free.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
KVM: arm64: Fix ID register initialization for non-protected pKVM guests
In protected mode, the hypervisor maintains a separate instance of
the `kvm` structure for each VM. For non-protected VMs, this structure is
initialized from the host's `kvm` state.
Currently, `pkvm_init_features_from_host()` copies the
`KVM_ARCH_FLAG_ID_REGS_INITIALIZED` flag from the host without the
underlying `id_regs` data being initialized. This results in the
hypervisor seeing the flag as set while the ID registers remain zeroed.
Consequently, `kvm_has_feat()` checks at EL2 fail (return 0) for
non-protected VMs. This breaks logic that relies on feature detection,
such as `ctxt_has_tcrx()` for TCR2_EL1 support. As a result, certain
system registers (e.g., TCR2_EL1, PIR_EL1, POR_EL1) are not
saved/restored during the world switch, which could lead to state
corruption.
Fix this by explicitly copying the ID registers from the host `kvm` to
the hypervisor `kvm` for non-protected VMs during initialization, since
we trust the host with its non-protected guests' features. Also ensure
`KVM_ARCH_FLAG_ID_REGS_INITIALIZED` is cleared initially in
`pkvm_init_features_from_host` so that `vm_copy_id_regs` can properly
initialize them and set the flag once done.

net/rds: Fix circular locking dependency in rds_tcp_tune
syzbot reported a circular locking dependency in rds_tcp_tune() where
sk_net_refcnt_upgrade() is called while holding the socket lock:
======================================================
WARNING: possible circular locking dependency detected
======================================================
kworker/u10:8/15040 is trying to acquire lock:
ffffffff8e9aaf80 (fs_reclaim){+.+.}-{0:0},
at: __kmalloc_cache_noprof+0x4b/0x6f0
but task is already holding lock:
ffff88805a3c1ce0 (k-sk_lock-AF_INET6){+.+.}-{0:0},
at: rds_tcp_tune+0xd7/0x930
The issue occurs because sk_net_refcnt_upgrade() performs memory
allocation (via get_net_track() -> ref_tracker_alloc()) while the
socket lock is held, creating a circular dependency with fs_reclaim.
Fix this by moving sk_net_refcnt_upgrade() outside the socket lock
critical section. This is safe because the fields modified by the
sk_net_refcnt_upgrade() call (sk_net_refcnt, ns_tracker) are not
accessed by any concurrent code path at this point.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
apparmor: fix race between freeing data and fs accessing it
AppArmor was putting the reference to i_private data on its end after
removing the original entry from the file system. However the inode
can aand does live beyond that point and it is possible that some of
the fs call back functions will be invoked after the reference has
been put, which results in a race between freeing the data and
accessing it through the fs.
While the rawdata/loaddata is the most likely candidate to fail the
race, as it has the fewest references. If properly crafted it might be
possible to trigger a race for the other types stored in i_private.
Fix this by moving the put of i_private referenced data to the correct
place which is during inode eviction.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
apparmor: fix race on rawdata dereference
There is a race condition that leads to a use-after-free situation:
because the rawdata inodes are not refcounted, an attacker can start
open()ing one of the rawdata files, and at the same time remove the
last reference to this rawdata (by removing the corresponding profile,
for example), which frees its struct aa_loaddata; as a result, when
seq_rawdata_open() is reached, i_private is a dangling pointer and
freed memory is accessed.
The rawdata inodes weren't refcounted to avoid a circular refcount and
were supposed to be held by the profile rawdata reference. However
during profile removal there is a window where the vfs and profile
destruction race, resulting in the use after free.
Fix this by moving to a double refcount scheme. Where the profile
refcount on rawdata is used to break the circular dependency. Allowing
for freeing of the rawdata once all inode references to the rawdata
are put.

apparmor: fix missing bounds check on DEFAULT table in verify_dfa()
The verify_dfa() function only checks DEFAULT_TABLE bounds when the state
is not differentially encoded.
When the verification loop traverses the differential encoding chain,
it reads k = DEFAULT_TABLE[j] and uses k as an array index without
validation. A malformed DFA with DEFAULT_TABLE[j] >= state_count,
therefore, causes both out-of-bounds reads and writes.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
ksmbd: fix mechToken leak when SPNEGO decode fails after token alloc
The kernel ASN.1 BER decoder calls action callbacks incrementally as it
walks the input. When ksmbd_decode_negTokenInit() reaches the mechToken
[2] OCTET STRING element, ksmbd_neg_token_alloc() allocates
conn->mechToken immediately via kmemdup_nul(). If a later element in
the same blob is malformed, then the decoder will return nonzero after
the allocation is already live. This could happen if mechListMIC [3]
overrunse the enclosing SEQUENCE.
decode_negotiation_token() then sets conn->use_spnego = false because
both the negTokenInit and negTokenTarg grammars failed. The cleanup at
the bottom of smb2_sess_setup() is gated on use_spnego:
if (conn->use_spnego && conn->mechToken) {
kfree(conn->mechToken);
conn->mechToken = NULL;
}
so the kfree is skipped, causing the mechToken to never be freed.
This codepath is reachable pre-authentication, so untrusted clients can
cause slow memory leaks on a server without even being properly
authenticated.
Fix this up by not checking check for use_spnego, as it's not required,
so the memory will always be properly freed. At the same time, always
free the memory in ksmbd_conn_free() incase some other failure path
forgot to free it.

Generation of Predictable Numbers or Identifiers vulnerability in Erlang/OTP kernel (inet_res, inet_db modules) allows DNS Cache Poisoning.
The built-in DNS resolver (inet_res) uses a sequential, process-global 16-bit transaction ID for UDP queries and does not implement source port randomization. Response validation relies almost entirely on this ID, making DNS cache poisoning practical for an attacker who can observe one query or predict the next ID. This conflicts with RFC 5452 recommendations for mitigating forged DNS answers.
inet_res is intended for use in trusted network environments and with trusted recursive resolvers. Earlier documentation did not clearly state this deployment assumption, which could lead users to deploy the resolver in environments where spoofed DNS responses are possible.
This vulnerability is associated with program files lib/kernel/src/inet_db.erl and lib/kernel/src/inet_res.erl.
This issue affects OTP from OTP 17.0 before OTP 28.4.2, OTP 27.3.4.10 and OTP 26.2.5.19, corresponding to kernel from 3.0 before 10.6.2, 10.2.7.4 and 9.2.4.11.

Instead, it only checks that the responder certificate's issuer name matches the CA's subject name and that the certificate has the OCSPSigning extended key usage. An attacker who can intercept or control OCSP responses can create a self-signed certificate with a matching issuer name and the OCSPSigning EKU, and use it to forge OCSP responses that mark revoked certificates as valid.
This affects SSL/TLS clients using OCSP stapling, which may accept connections to servers with revoked certificates, potentially transmitting sensitive data to compromised servers. Applications using the public_key:pkix_ocsp_validate/5 API directly are also affected, with impact depending on usage context.
This vulnerability is associated with program files lib/public_key/src/pubkey_ocsp.erl and program routines pubkey_ocsp:is_authorized_responder/3.
This issue affects OTP from OTP 27.0 before OTP 28.4.2 and OTP 27.3.4.10, corresponding to public_key from 1.16 before 1.20.3 and 1.17.1.2, and ssl from 11.2 before 11.5.4 and 11.2.12.7.

Improper Limitation of a Pathname to a Restricted Directory ('Path Traversal') vulnerability in Erlang OTP ssh (ssh_sftpd module) allows an authenticated SFTP user to modify file attributes outside the configured chroot directory.
The SFTP daemon (ssh_sftpd) stores the raw, user-supplied path in file handles instead of the chroot-resolved path. When SSH_FXP_FSETSTAT is issued on such a handle, file attributes (permissions, ownership, timestamps) are modified on the real filesystem path, bypassing the root directory boundary entirely.
Any authenticated SFTP user on a server configured with the root option can modify file attributes of files outside the intended chroot boundary. The prerequisite is that a target file must exist on the real filesystem at the same relative path. Note that this vulnerability only allows modification of file attributes; file contents cannot be read or altered through this attack vector.
If the SSH daemon runs as root, this enables direct privilege escalation: an attacker can set the setuid bit on any binary, change ownership of sensitive files, or make system configuration world-writable.
This vulnerability is associated with program files lib/ssh/src/ssh_sftpd.erl and program routines ssh_sftpd:do_open/4 and ssh_sftpd:handle_op/4.
This issue affects OTP from OTP 17.0 before OTP 28.4.3, OTP 27.3.4.11 and OTP 26.2.5.20, corresponding to ssh from 3.0.1 before 5.5.3, 5.2.11.7 and 5.1.4.15.

The BEAR – Bulk Editor and Products Manager Professional for WooCommerce by Pluginus.Net plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Cross-Site Request Forgery in all versions up to, and including, 1.1.5. This is due to missing nonce validation on the woobe_delete_tax_term() function. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to delete WooCommerce taxonomy terms (categories, tags, etc.) via a forged request granted they can trick a site administrator or shop manager into performing an action such as clicking on a link.

Adobe Photoshop Installer was affected by an Uncontrolled Search Path Element vulnerability that could have resulted in arbitrary code execution in the context of the current user. An attacker could have exploited this vulnerability by placing a malicious library in a directory searched by the installer. Exploitation of this issue required user interaction in that a victim must have been running the installer. Scope is changed.

An issue was discovered in libsndfile 1.2.2 IMA ADPCM codec. The AIFF code path (line 241) was fixed with (sf_count_t) cast, but the WAV code path (line 235) and close path (line 167) were not. When samplesperblock (int) * blocks (int) exceeds INT_MAX, the 32-bit multiplication overflows before being assigned to sf.frames (sf_count_t/int64). With samplesperblock=50000 and blocks=50000, the product 2500000000 overflows to -1794967296. This causes incorrect frame count leading to heap buffer overflow or denial of service. Both values come from the WAV file header and are attacker-controlled. This issue was discovered after an incomplete fix for CVE-2022-33065.

Improper Input Validation, Improper Control of Generation of Code ('Code Injection') vulnerability in Apache ActiveMQ, Apache ActiveMQ Broker, Apache ActiveMQ All.
An authenticated attacker can use the admin web console page to construct a malicious broker name that bypasses name validation to include an xbean binding that can be later used by a VM transport to load a remote Spring XML application.
The attacker can then use the DestinationView mbean to send a message to trigger a VM transport creation that will reference this malicious broker name which can lead to loading the malicious Spring XML context file.
Because Spring's ResourceXmlApplicationContext instantiates all singleton beans before the BrokerService validates the configuration, arbitrary code execution occurs on the broker's JVM through bean factory methods such as Runtime.exec().
This issue affects Apache ActiveMQ: before 5.19.6, from 6.0.0 before 6.2.5; Apache ActiveMQ Broker: before 5.19.6, from 6.0.0 before 6.2.5; Apache ActiveMQ All: before 5.19.6, from 6.0.0 before 6.2.5.
Users are recommended to upgrade to version 6.2.5 or 5.19.6, which fixes the issue.
