CVE-2026-82441: Apache Storm Nimbus: Cross-Tenant Blob Deletion and Cluster Denial of Service via Unvalidated Topology Dependency Keys

Description A submitted topology carries two lists of blobstore keys, `dependency_jars` and `dependency_artifacts`, which the client fills in after uploading the corresponding blobs. Nimbus performed no validation of their contents on the submission path, yet acts on them in two places. During cleanup of a finished topology, Nimbus deletes the keys named in those lists, and the deletion is performed as the Nimbus subject, for which the blobstore short-circuits its ACL check. A submitter who listed a key belonging to another topology, such as its `-stormjar.jar`, could therefore cause that blob to be deleted when their own topology was cleaned up. Separately, on acquiring leadership a Nimbus compares the dependency keys of all active topologies against the blobstore contents and surrenders leadership if any is missing. A single key that does not exist, on a single active topology, therefore causes every Nimbus to acquire leadership, surrender it and requeue indefinitely, leaving the cluster without a leader and unable to schedule, clean up or accept submissions. Mitigation Upgrade to 3.1.0, where a submission is refused unless every entry in both lists is a dependency blob key and exists in the blobstore. Note that this validates new submissions only; a topology stored by an affected version with an invalid list is unaffected by the upgrade. An operator whose cluster is failing to retain a leader should inspect the Nimbus log for the dependency keys reported as missing and remove or resubmit the topology naming them. Users who cannot upgrade immediately should restrict topology submission to trusted principals. Credit This issue was discovered by rzo1 while investigating an unrelated blobstore defect.

CVE-2026-85625: sift 17.1.3 Prototype Pollution Remote Code Execution via $where

sift (sift.js) 17.1.3 enumerates query keys with for...in, which walks the object prototype chain, and dispatches any matched operator key including $where. The $where operation compiles a string value into a function using new Function unless CSP_ENABLED is set (not set by default). As a result, if a prototype-pollution primitive elsewhere in the process sets Object.prototype.$where to a malicious string, even benign filter calls such as sift({}) execute arbitrary JavaScript. Additionally, passing an untrusted query object containing a string $where directly to sift results in code execution under the default configuration.

CVE-2026-73579: Apache Syncope: Non-recursive Any search could skip Realms restrictions

Incorrect Authorization vulnerability in Apache Syncope. Any search requests are transformed into SQL, Neo4J or Elasticsearch / Opensearch queries, depending on the actual deployment configuration. An important component of such transformation is the Realms filter, which ensures that the search results are matching the requester's permissions. For non-recursive search requests it is possible that such Realms filter is rendered as empty, thus voiding any restriction on requester privileges. CVE-2026-78006: The Events Calendar <= 6.17.4 - Unauthenticated PHP Object Injection to Remote Code Execution

The The Events Calendar plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Remote Code Execution in all versions up to, and including, 6.17.4 via the is_safe_widget_instance function. This is due to insufficient protection in is_safe_widget_instance, which can be bypassed because PHP fires magic methods during its pre-parse, combined with enable_rendering_widget_copied() forging a valid wp_hash integrity attribute before unserialize() is reached. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to execute code on the server. This is exploitable without authentication or approval because the plugin's V2 single-event template runs do_blocks() over buffered comment HTML, and WordPress returns a moderation-hash URL that allows an unauthenticated commenter to immediately view their own pending comment, delivering the injected block markup to the vulnerable code path before any moderation occurs. This does require comments to be enabled and visible on events.

CVE-2026-61534: Yayson: Prototype pollution in the Store/LegacyStore deserialization

Yayson is a library for serializing and reading JSON API data in JavaScript. Prior to 4.3.0, Store and LegacyStore use attacker-controlled JSON:API type, id, and relationship names as keys in plain-object lookup tables in src/yayson/store.ts and src/yayson/legacy-store.ts. A document whose type is __proto__ causes model-cache writes to modify Object.prototype, with the attacker controlling the polluted property name through id and its value through attributes. The malicious type can also be supplied by an included resource, and LegacyStore is reachable when a configured types mapping resolves to __proto__. Unsafe relationship names including __proto__, constructor, and prototype provide additional document-derived member paths. The resulting process-wide prototype pollution can cause denial of service and logic corruption; authorization bypass or code execution depends on suitable gadgets in the consuming application. This issue is fixed in version 4.3.0.

CVE-2026-57578: DotVVM: Missing authorization in AuthorizeActionFilter

DotVVM is an open source MVVM framework for web applications. Prior to 4.2.11, 4.3.15, and 5.0.0-preview09-final, AuthorizeActionFilter performs no authorization because its explicit ICommandActionFilter.OnCommandExecutingAsync, IViewModelActionFilter.OnViewModelCreatedAsync, and IPresenterActionFilter.OnPresenterExecutingAsync implementations return completed tasks instead of invoking the corresponding checks. Applications relying on this filter can therefore expose protected commands, view models, or presenters to unauthorized requests without any special bypass technique. AuthorizeAttribute correctly implements the same interfaces and can be used as a workaround. This issue is fixed in versions 4.2.11, 4.3.15, and 5.0.0-preview09-final.

CVE-2026-59178: ESPHome Device Builder: Renamed auth env vars silently disable dashboard authentication on upgrade

ESPHome Device Builder Dashboard is a dashboard for the ESPHome home management software. Prior to version 1.0.12, the dashboard reads its authentication credentials from `$ESPHOME_USERNAME` and `$ESPHOME_PASSWORD`. Earlier versions, and the legacy `esphome` dashboard, read the bare `$USERNAME` and `$PASSWORD` instead. When the env vars were renamed the bare names were dropped with no fallback, so an operator who had protected their dashboard with `USERNAME` / `PASSWORD` (as the older getting started guide documented) loses authentication on upgrade and the dashboard starts open to anyone who can reach its port. The issue is fixed in 1.0.12. The bare `$USERNAME` / `$PASSWORD` are accepted again as a deprecated fallback so previously protected instances stay protected across the upgrade without operator intervention, with a loud deprecation warning at startup directing operators to rename them to `$ESPHOME_USERNAME` / `$ESPHOME_PASSWORD`. The fallback is gated on `$PASSWORD` being set and is only adopted as a pair, so the OS provided `$USERNAME` is never read on its own and the original collision footgun stays closed. A lone bare `$PASSWORD` with no username still fails loud as a credential mismatch rather than starting unauthenticated. This restores compatibility rather than failing closed on the legacy names, because the priority is that an instance which was protected before the upgrade stays protected without the operator having to act; the deprecation warning plus a future removal handles the migration. Operators should migrate to the `$ESPHOME_*` names. The esphome container delivers the fix in the 2026.6.2 release, which bumps its pinned `esphome-device-builder` version to 1.0.12. Without upgrading, restore authentication immediately by setting the new env vars to the same values, on any affected version. Alternatively, do not expose the dashboard port to untrusted networks, and check the startup logs for the `WITHOUT AUTHENTICATION` banner to confirm whether a given instance is currently open.

CVE-2026-78159: The Events Calendar <= 6.17.3 - Unauthenticated Code Injection to Remote Code Execution via Widget 'classes' Map Callable Invocation

The The Events Calendar plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Remote Code Execution in all versions up to, and including, 6.17.3 via the parse_array function. CVE-2026-90961: MISP LdapAuth and LinOTPAuth Authentication Bypass via Empty or Non-String Credentials

The LdapAuth and LinOTPAuth authentication plugins in MISP contain an authentication bypass vulnerability. Both LdapAuthenticate and LinOTPAuthenticate replace CakePHP's FormAuthenticate class but fail to replicate its _checkFields() input validation guard. As a result, the email and password fields extracted from the login request are passed to downstream authentication logic without verifying that they are non-empty strings. In the LDAP authenticator, an empty or null password is forwarded to ldap_bind(). Per RFC 4513 section 5.1.2, a bind request with a valid DN and an empty password constitutes an unauthenticated bind, which many LDAP directory servers accept as successful. An attacker who knows any valid user email address in the directory can therefore authenticate as that user without possessing a password. Additionally, non-string values (null, false, arrays) are either coerced to empty strings by ldap_bind(), raise TypeErrors, or are misinterpreted as find conditions in _findUser(), all of which can lead to unintended authentication outcomes. In the LinOTP authenticator, the same missing guard allows non-string credentials to be concatenated into the LinOTP verification request, and in the mixed-authentication branch an empty password is accepted against a stored hash of the empty string. A secondary issue in the LDAP authenticator is that newly created user accounts (auto-provisioned on first LDAP login) were assigned an empty password. Because the save path skips validation, the empty string is hashed and stored. If the user later ceases to be found in LDAP and the mixed-authentication fallback is used, the stored hash of the empty string verifies against an empty password, again permitting unauthenticated access. The vulnerability requires that the affected plugin (LdapAuth or LinOTPAuth) is enabled on the MISP instance and that the attacker knows at least one valid email address registered in the directory or MISP user store. No prior authentication is required. Successful exploitation grants the attacker the full privileges of the impersonated user, which may include administrative access to threat intelligence data. CVE-2026-85438: MOOS-IvP through 24.8.1 Out-of-Bounds Write via Unvalidated IvP Payload Counts

MOOS-IvP through 24.8.1 contains a buffer overflow vulnerability in StringToIvPFunction() where dimension, piece, and degree counts from encoded BHV_IPF payloads are used as allocation sizes and loop bounds without validation. Attackers can supply crafted payloads with mismatched dimension values to write attacker-controlled doubles past the end of the IvPBox weight array, causing memory corruption and potential code execution.

CVE-2026-62647: A vulnerability has been identified in Reyrolle 7SR5 (All versions < V2.70).

A vulnerability has been identified in Reyrolle 7SR5 (All versions < V2.70). A random number generator is used to generate security-relevant values (such as session identifiers used for authentication purposes) that is not initialized with a True Random Number Generator (TRNG), resulting in a predictable sequence of generated values. This could allow an unauthenticated remote attacker to more easily predict the generated values and impersonate a legitimate authenticated user, potentially gaining unauthorized access to the device.
