NGINX Plus and NGINX Open Source have a vulnerability in the ngx_http_core_module module. When asynchronous file I/O (AIO) is enabled in certain configurations, processing a Server Side Includes (SSI) page containing “include virtual” commands may trigger a Use-After-Free (UAF) in the NGINX worker process. This may cause memory corruption or a worker process crash. Additionally, attackers can execute code on systems with Address Space Layout Randomization (ASLR) disabled or when the attacker can bypass ASLR.
Impact:
This vulnerability may allow remote attackers to cause a denial-of-service (DoS) on the NGINX system, corrupt its memory, or possibly trigger code execution. There is no control plane exposure; this is a data plane issue only.
Note: Software versions which have reached End of Technical Support (EoTS) are not evaluated.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
NFSv4.1: zero referring call lists before decoding
decode_cb_sequence_args() allocates csa_rclists with kmalloc_objs(), so
each referring_call_list starts uninitialized. decode_rc_list() assigns
rcl_refcalls only when rcl_nrefcalls is nonzero. A valid list with zero
referring calls therefore leaves the pointer uninitialized, and
nfs4_callback_sequence() later passes stale slab contents to kfree().
Allocate csa_rclists with kzalloc_objs() so every rcl_refcalls member is
NULL from the beginning, including valid empty referring call lists.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
smb: client: fix OOB read/write from unvalidated DataOffset in coalesce_t2()
coalesce_t2() computes data pointers directly from server-supplied
DataOffset fields with no validation against buffer bounds:
data_area_of_tgt = (char *)&pSMBt->hdr.Protocol +
get_unaligned_le16(&pSMBt->t2_rsp.DataOffset);
data_area_of_src = (char *)&pSMBs->hdr.Protocol +
get_unaligned_le16(&pSMBs->t2_rsp.DataOffset);
data_area_of_tgt += total_in_tgt;
...
memcpy(data_area_of_tgt, data_area_of_src, total_in_src);
A small DataOffset can push a pointer below the actual byte area,
overwriting header fields; a large one can push it past the buffer
end, causing out-of-bounds heap reads (source) or writes (target).
The BCC overflow guard does not prevent this: BCC reflects how much
data is present, while DataOffset controls where in the buffer it
starts.
The "validate target area" comment present since the function was
first written in 2005 was a placeholder that was never implemented.
Add lower- and upper-bound checks for both data pointers before the
memcpy, and before any target header fields are modified.

[CAUSE]
For an inline lzo compressed file extent, there should always be one lzo
header, recording the total length of the compressed data, followed by
one segment header, recording the compressed lzo payload.
But if a crafted inline lzo compressed file extent contains only an lzo
header, without the segment header or payload, lzo_decompress() will
still try to read the segment header, causing a read beyond the item
boundary.
Furthermore if the inline lzo compressed file extent is the first item
of the leaf, it will be at the extent buffer boundary. The above
out-of-boundary read will go beyond the extent buffer boundary,
triggering the above KASAN report.
[FIX]
Validate the total length of the inlined lzo compressed file extent, to
make sure there is at least one LZO header and one segment header, and a
non-zero payload.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
ocfs2: validate fast symlink target during inode read
ocfs2_validate_inode_block() already rejects several inconsistent
self-contained dinodes before they are exposed to the rest of the
filesystem. Fast symlinks need the same treatment.
A zero-cluster symlink is treated as a fast symlink and later read through
page_get_link() and ocfs2_fast_symlink_read_folio(). That path uses
strnlen() on the inline payload and then copies len + 1 bytes into the
folio. If a corrupt dinode stores an i_size that does not fit the inline
area or omits the terminating NUL at i_size, that copy reads past the end
of the inode block buffer.
Reject zero-cluster symlink dinodes whose i_size exceeds the inline
fast-symlink capacity or whose inline payload is not NUL-terminated
exactly at i_size when the inode block is validated. This keeps malformed
fast symlinks from reaching the read path.
Validation reproduced this kernel report:

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
netfs: Fix missing barriers when accessing stream->subrequests locklessly
The list of subrequests attached to stream->subrequests is accessed without
locks by netfs_collect_read_results() and netfs_collect_write_results(),
and then they access subreq->flags without taking a barrier after getting
the subreq pointer from the list. Relatedly, the functions that build the
list don't use any sort of write barrier when constructing the list to make
sure that the NETFS_SREQ_IN_PROGRESS flag is perceived to be set first if
no lock is taken.
Fix this by:
(1) Add a new list_add_tail_release() function that uses a release barrier
to set the pointer to the new member of the list.
(2) Add a new list_first_entry_or_null_acquire() function that uses an
acquire barrier to read the pointer to the first member in a list (or
return NULL).
(3) Use list_add_tail_release() when adding a subreq to ->subrequests.
(4) Use list_first_entry_or_null_acquire() when initially accessing the
front of the list (when an item is removed, the pointer to the new
front iterm is obtained under the same lock).

net: ti: icssg-prueth: fix use-after-free of CPPI descriptor in RX path
cppi5_hdesc_get_psdata() returns a pointer into the CPPI descriptor.
In both emac_rx_packet() and emac_rx_packet_zc(), the descriptor is
freed via k3_cppi_desc_pool_free() before the psdata pointer is used
by emac_rx_timestamp(), which dereferences psdata[0] and psdata[1].
This constitutes a use-after-free on every received packet that goes
through the timestamp path.
Defer the descriptor free until after all accesses through the psdata
pointer are complete. For emac_rx_packet(), move the free into the
requeue label so both early-exit and success paths free the descriptor
after all accesses are done. For emac_rx_packet_zc(), move the free to
the end of the loop body after emac_dispatch_skb_zc() (which calls
emac_rx_timestamp()) has returned.

A flaw was found in FreeIPA. The self-managed OTP token ACI does not require authentication and does not restrict which attributes may be added alongside the token entry. An unauthenticated LDAP client can exploit this, combined with a related flaw in the underlying directory server's ACI evaluation (tracked separately), to create an arbitrary attacker-controlled Kerberos principal and have it added to the administrators group. This allows a remote, unauthenticated attacker to obtain genuine FreeIPA administrator-group membership and perform administrative operations against the directory and, on SID-enabled deployments, other IdM services.

In Znuny through 7.3.6, an attacker can bypass specific standard login procedures and gain unauthorized access to sensitive system functions by manipulating a specific HTTP request header. Because the application incorrectly trusts this header, an attacker can impersonate any user, including administrators, without requiring a password. This grants full access to confidential data and system controls. More specifically, the HTTPBasicAuth modules for the agent (Kernel::System::Auth::HTTPBasicAuth) and customer (Kernel::System::CustomerAuth::HTTPBasicAuth) interfaces read the username to log in not only from $ENV{REMOTE_USER} (set by the web server after successful authentication), but also, as a fallback, from $ENV{HTTP_REMOTE_USER}, which is populated directly from an attacker-controllable "Remote-User" request header. On systems where HTTPBasicAuth was configured as the authentication backend, this allowed an attacker to log in as any existing user by sending a request with a forged Remote-User header, without providing any credentials.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
ksmbd: fix out-of-bounds write in smb2_get_ea() EA alignment
smb2_get_ea() applies 4-byte alignment padding via memset() after
writing each EA entry. The bounds check on buf_free_len is performed
before the value memcpy, but the alignment memset fires unconditionally
afterward with no check on remaining space.
When the EA value exactly fills the remaining buffer (buf_free_len == 0
after value subtraction), the alignment memset writes 1-3 NUL bytes
past the buf_free_len boundary. In compound requests where the response
buffer is shared across commands, the first command (e.g., READ) can
consume most of the buffer, leaving a tight remainder for the QUERY_INFO
EA response. The alignment memset then overwrites past the physical
kvmalloc allocation into adjacent kernel heap memory.
Add a bounds check before the alignment memset to ensure buf_free_len
can accommodate the padding bytes.
This is the same bug pattern fixed by commit beef2634f81f ("ksmbd: fix
potencial OOB in get_file_all_info() for compound requests") and
commit fda9522ed6af ("ksmbd: fix OOB write in QUERY_INFO for compound

writes in QUERY_INFO response handlers.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
nfsd: handle get_client_locked() failure in nfsd4_setclientid_confirm()
Lei Lu recently reported that nfsd4_setclientid_confirm() did not check
the return value from get_client_locked(). a SETCLIENTID_CONFIRM could
race with a confirmed client expiring and fail to get a reference. That
could later lead to a UAF.
Fix this by getting a reference early in the case where there is an
extant confirmed client. If that fails then treat it as if there were no
confirmed client found at all.
In the case where the unconfirmed client is expiring, just fail and
return the result from get_client_locked().

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
drbd: add missing kref_get in handle_write_conflicts
With `two-primaries` enabled, DRBD tries to detect "concurrent" writes
and handle write conflicts, so that even if you write to the same sector
simultaneously on both nodes, they end up with the identical data once
the writes are completed.
In handling "superseeded" writes, we forgot a kref_get,
resulting in a premature drbd_destroy_device and use after free,
and further to kernel crashes with symptoms.
Relevance: No one should use DRBD as a random data generator, and apparently
all users of "two-primaries" handle concurrent writes correctly on layer up.
That is cluster file systems use some distributed lock manager,
and live migration in virtualization environments stops writes on one node
before starting writes on the other node.
Which means that other than for "test cases",
this code path is never taken in real life.
FYI, in DRBD 9, things are handled differently nowadays. We still detect
"write conflicts", but no longer try to be smart about them.
We decided to disconnect hard instead: upper layers must not submit concurrent
writes. If they do, that's their fault.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
mptcp: consolidate suboption status
MPTCP maintains the received sub-options status is the bitmask carrying
the received suboptions and in several bitfields carrying per suboption
additional info.
Zeroing the bitmask before parsing is not enough to ensure a consistent
status, and the MPTCP code has to additionally clear some bitfiled
depending on the actually parsed suboption.
The above schema is fragile, and syzbot managed to trigger a path where
a relevant bitfield is not cleared/initialized:

Issue summary: Parsing CMS AuthEnvelopedData or EnvelopedData message with
maliciously crafted AEAD parameters can trigger a stack buffer overflow.
Impact summary: A stack buffer overflow may lead to a crash, causing Denial
of Service, or potentially remote code execution.
When parsing CMS (Auth)EnvelopedData structures that use AEAD ciphers such as
AES-GCM, the IV (Initialization Vector) encoded in the ASN.1 parameters is
copied into a fixed-size stack buffer without verifying that its length fits
the destination. An attacker can supply a crafted CMS message with an
oversized IV, causing a stack-based out-of-bounds write before any
authentication or tag verification occurs.
Applications and services that parse untrusted CMS or PKCS#7 content using
AEAD ciphers (e.g., S/MIME (Auth)EnvelopedData with AES-GCM) are vulnerable.
Because the overflow occurs prior to authentication, no valid key material
is required to trigger it. While exploitability to remote code execution
depends on platform and toolchain mitigations, the stack-based write
primitive represents a severe risk.
The FIPS modules in 3.6, 3.5, 3.4, 3.3 and 3.0 are not affected by this
issue, as the CMS implementation is outside the OpenSSL FIPS module
boundary.
OpenSSL 3.6, 3.5, 3.4, 3.3 and 3.0 are vulnerable to this issue.
OpenSSL 1.1.1 and 1.0.2 are not affected by this issue.

nfsd: fix nfs4_openowner leak when concurrent nfsd4_open occur
The action force umount(umount -f) will attempt to kill all rpc_task even
umount operation may ultimately fail if some files remain open.
Consequently, if an action attempts to open a file, it can potentially
send two rpc_task to nfs server.

While processing an open request, nfsd will first attempt to find or
allocate an nfs4_openowner. If it finds an nfs4_openowner that is not
marked as NFS4_OO_CONFIRMED, this nfs4_openowner will released. Since
two rpc_task can attempt to open the same file simultaneously from the
client to server, and because two instances of nfsd can run
concurrently, this situation can lead to lots of memory leak.
Additionally, when we echo 0 to /proc/fs/nfsd/threads, warning will be
triggered.
