CVE-2020-2862: Vulnerability in the Oracle One-to-One Fulfillment product of Oracle E-Business Suite (component: Print Ser...

Vulnerability in the Oracle One-to-One Fulfillment product of Oracle E-Business Suite (component: Print Server). Supported versions that are affected are 12.1.1-12.1.3 and 12.2.3-12.2.9. Easily exploitable vulnerability allows unauthenticated attacker with network access via HTTP to compromise Oracle One-to-One Fulfillment. Successful attacks require human interaction from a person other than the attacker and while the vulnerability is in Oracle One-to-One Fulfillment, attacks may significantly impact additional products. Successful attacks of this vulnerability can result in unauthorized read access to a subset of Oracle One-to-One Fulfillment accessible data. CVSS 3.0 Base Score 4.7 (Confidentiality impacts). CVSS Vector: (CVSS:3.0/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:R/S:C/C:L/I:N/A:N).

Security readout for executives and security teams

Plain-English summary

CVE-2020-2862 affects Oracle One-to-One Fulfillment in Oracle E-Business Suite. An unauthenticated network attacker can trigger it over HTTP, but a separate user must interact. A successful attack can expose a limited subset of accessible One-to-One Fulfillment data and may affect other products through changed scope.

Executive priority

Treat as a moderate confidentiality risk. Prioritize remediation for internet-facing or broadly reachable E-Business Suite environments, especially where One-to-One Fulfillment handles sensitive business data.

Technical view

Oracle describes an easily exploitable Print Server vulnerability in One-to-One Fulfillment versions 12.1.1-12.1.3 and 12.2.3-12.2.9. CVSS 3.0 is 4.7: network, low complexity, no privileges, user interaction required, changed scope, low confidentiality impact, no integrity or availability impact.

Likely exposure

Exposure is most likely where Oracle E-Business Suite includes One-to-One Fulfillment Print Server on affected 12.1.x or 12.2.x releases and HTTP access is reachable by untrusted users or networks.

Exploitation context

The provided sources do not show known active exploitation, and the CVE is not marked KEV. Exploitation requires HTTP network access and human interaction by someone other than the attacker. Evidence does not identify public exploit tooling.

Researcher notes

No CWE is provided in the source bundle. The changed-scope CVSS element means impact may extend beyond the vulnerable component, but sources only substantiate limited unauthorized read access. Avoid assuming broader data theft or code execution.

Mitigation direction

  • Review Oracle April 2020 Critical Patch Update guidance for this CVE.
  • Apply Oracle-supported fixes for affected E-Business Suite versions.
  • Restrict HTTP access to trusted networks where business operations allow.
  • Reduce exposure of One-to-One Fulfillment Print Server components.
  • Monitor Oracle advisories for version-specific remediation updates.

Validation and detection

  • Inventory Oracle E-Business Suite instances and enabled One-to-One Fulfillment components.
  • Confirm whether versions match 12.1.1-12.1.3 or 12.2.3-12.2.9.
  • Check whether Print Server HTTP endpoints are reachable from untrusted networks.
  • Verify April 2020 CPU or later applicable Oracle fixes are installed.
  • Review access logs for unusual unauthenticated HTTP activity.
