Security readout for executives and security teams

Oracle Primavera P6 EPPM Web Access has a critical data exposure and modification flaw in listed supported versions. An unauthenticated attacker reachable over HTTP could, with a user's interaction, gain broad access to project portfolio data and modify or delete it. The source bundle does not show active exploitation or detailed remediation steps. Exposure is most likely where affected Primavera P6 EPPM Web Access deployments are reachable over HTTP by users or external networks. The risk is data confidentiality and integrity, not availability, based on the supplied CVSS vector. Treat this as a priority remediation item for organizations using affected Primavera P6 EPPM versions, especially if Web Access is externally reachable. The main business risk is unauthorized access to and alteration of project portfolio data. Active exploitation is not evidenced in the supplied sources. Mitigation focus: Inventory Primavera P6 EPPM Web Access versions against the affected ranges.; Check Oracle's October 2019 Critical Patch Update and current Oracle guidance.; Prioritize updates or compensating controls for HTTP-reachable deployments..
