Security readout for executives and security teams

CVE-2019-2750 affects Oracle MICROS Retail-J, a retail application component. An unauthenticated attacker who can reach it over HTTP could access sensitive data, modify some data, and partially disrupt service. For retailers still running affected versions, this is a high business-risk issue because it can impact confidentiality, integrity, and availability. Exposure is most likely where Oracle MICROS Retail-J affected versions remain reachable over HTTP from untrusted or broad internal networks. The source bundle does not identify affected cloud services, appliances, or other Oracle Retail products beyond MICROS Retail-J. Prioritize remediation for any internet-facing or broadly reachable Retail-J deployment. The issue is unauthenticated, low-complexity, and can expose critical data, but the provided sources do not show confirmed active exploitation. Mitigation focus: Identify any MICROS Retail-J 12.1.0, 12.1.1, 12.1.2, or 13.1 deployments.; Review Oracle July 2019 CPU guidance for vendor remediation details.; Apply Oracle-provided security updates or upgrade guidance for affected Retail-J systems..
