Security readout for executives and security teams

CVE-2019-2413 affects Oracle Reports Developer in Oracle Fusion Middleware 12.2.1.3. An unauthenticated network attacker can trigger it over HTTP, but the attack requires another user to interact. Successful exploitation could expose or alter some data accessible to Oracle Reports Developer. Exposure is most likely where Oracle Fusion Middleware includes Oracle Reports Developer 12.2.1.3 and the component is reachable over HTTP, especially from untrusted networks. The bundle does not name other affected versions. Handle as a priority patching and exposure-reduction issue for Oracle middleware. It is not rated critical, but unauthenticated HTTP reachability, possible data read/write impact, and public exploit information justify timely action. Mitigation focus: Review Oracle's January 2019 Critical Patch Update for vendor remediation guidance.; Patch affected Oracle Fusion Middleware deployments according to Oracle guidance.; Reduce HTTP exposure to Oracle Reports Developer from untrusted networks..
