Security readout for executives and security teams

CVE-2018-2829 affects Oracle Hospitality Simphony 2.10's Enterprise Management Console. An unauthenticated attacker with HTTP network access could compromise the application, read critical data, modify some data, and cause partial service disruption. Exposure matters most where Simphony management interfaces are reachable outside trusted networks. Organizations using Oracle Hospitality Simphony 2.10 are potentially exposed, especially if the Enterprise Management Console is reachable over HTTP from untrusted networks. Treat as high priority if Simphony 2.10 is present. The risk includes critical data exposure, limited data modification, and partial service disruption without authentication. Mitigation focus: Review Oracle's April 2018 Critical Patch Update guidance for CVE-2018-2829.; Patch or upgrade affected Simphony 2.10 systems according to Oracle guidance.; Restrict HTTP access to the Enterprise Management Console to trusted administrative networks..
