A vulnerability in the web-based management interface of Cisco Data Center Network Manager could allow an unauthenticated, remote attacker to conduct a cross-site request forgery (CSRF) attack and perform arbitrary actions on an affected device. The vulnerability is due to insufficient CSRF protections on the web-based management interface of an affected device. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability by persuading a user of the interface to follow a crafted link. A successful exploit could allow the attacker to perform arbitrary actions on a targeted device via a web browser and with the privileges of the user. Cisco Bug IDs: CSCvg88291.

Security readout for executives and security teams

CVE-2018-0210 is a CSRF flaw in Cisco Data Center Network Manager's web management interface. If an administrator is tricked into opening a crafted link while authenticated, an attacker could cause actions to run with that administrator's privileges. The sources do not provide CVSS details or evidence of active exploitation. Exposure is limited to organizations running Cisco Data Center Network Manager with reachable web management interfaces and administrators who use browser sessions to manage it. Risk increases when the interface is accessible beyond tightly controlled management networks. Treat as a management-plane risk, especially in data center environments. Prioritize confirmation of affected DCNM versions and management interface exposure, but do not classify as emergency solely from the provided evidence. Mitigation focus: Check Cisco advisory cisco-sa-20180307-dcnm for affected and fixed release guidance.; Restrict DCNM web management access to trusted administration networks.; Review administrative browsing practices while logged into DCNM..
