Vulnerability in the Oracle Applications Framework component of Oracle E-Business Suite (subcomponent: Popup windows (lists of values, datepicker, etc.)). Supported versions that are affected are 12.1.3, 12.2.3, 12.2.4, 12.2.5 and 12.2.6. Easily "exploitable" vulnerability allows unauthenticated attacker with network access via HTTP to compromise Oracle Applications Framework. Successful attacks require human interaction from a person other than the attacker and while the vulnerability is in Oracle Applications Framework, attacks may significantly impact additional products. Successful attacks of this vulnerability can result in unauthorized update, insert or delete access to some of Oracle Applications Framework accessible data. CVSS 3.0 Base Score 4.7 (Integrity impacts). CVSS Vector: (CVSS:3.0/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:R/S:C/C:N/I:L/A:N).

Security readout for executives and security teams

This issue affects Oracle E-Business Suite’s Applications Framework popup components. An unauthenticated network attacker could influence a user into an interaction that allows limited unauthorized data modification. The main business risk is integrity loss in systems connected to E-Business Suite workflows, not data theft or service outage based on the provided CVSS vector. Organizations running Oracle E-Business Suite with OAF versions 12.1.3, 12.2.3, 12.2.4, 12.2.5, or 12.2.6 may be exposed, especially where OAF is reachable over HTTP. Exposure depends on whether Oracle’s April 2017 CPU or later vendor guidance has been applied. Treat this as a patch-validation and exposure-reduction item for Oracle E-Business Suite environments. It is not rated critical in the supplied data, but it affects business data integrity and has public exploit material, so legacy unpatched systems deserve prompt attention. Mitigation focus: Review Oracle April 2017 CPU guidance for the relevant E-Business Suite fixes.; Patch or upgrade affected Oracle Applications Framework deployments per Oracle guidance.; Restrict HTTP access to E-Business Suite interfaces to trusted networks where feasible..
