Security readout for executives and security teams

This Oracle Retail Open Commerce Platform flaw could let a low-privileged user reachable over HTTP change or read some commerce-platform data after another person interacts with the attack. It is not described as an outage risk, but it can affect data integrity and confidentiality in affected retail commerce environments. Exposure is most likely where affected Oracle Retail Open Commerce Platform versions are reachable over HTTP and accessible to low-privileged users. Organizations without this product, or without the listed versions, are not indicated as affected by the supplied sources. Treat this as a targeted data-risk issue for affected Oracle retail commerce systems, not a broad emergency. Prioritize confirmation of product presence, patch status, and HTTP exposure because the vulnerability affects data reads and changes, and Oracle states downstream product impact is possible. Mitigation focus: Review Oracle's April 2017 Critical Patch Update guidance for the affected product versions.; Apply the relevant Oracle-supported fixes or upgrade path identified by Oracle.; Restrict HTTP access to the commerce platform to trusted networks and users..
