Security readout for executives and security teams

This is a high-severity Oracle E-Business Suite calendar flaw. An unauthenticated attacker reaching the application over HTTP could, with user interaction, access critical calendar-related data and alter some data. Oracle notes attacks may affect additional products beyond the calendar component. Exposure is most likely where affected Oracle E-Business Suite instances are reachable over HTTP, especially internet-facing or partner-accessible deployments. Environments not running the listed versions or not using the affected component have less apparent exposure from the provided sources. Treat this as a high-priority legacy Oracle exposure issue. It can affect sensitive business data without attacker credentials, but available sources do not establish active exploitation. Patch verification and exposure reduction should be scheduled promptly. Mitigation focus: Review Oracle Critical Patch Update guidance for October 2017 and affected E-Business Suite versions.; Apply Oracle-provided fixes or upgrade guidance for the affected Oracle Common Applications Calendar component.; Restrict HTTP access to Oracle E-Business Suite where business requirements permit..
