Security readout for executives and security teams

This Oracle E-Business Suite issue can let an already highly privileged user reach the Applications DBA component over HTTP and gain broad access to sensitive DBA-managed data. The main business risk is unauthorized viewing, creation, deletion, or modification of critical data in affected Oracle EBS environments. Exposure is limited to organizations running the affected Oracle E-Business Suite versions with Applications DBA reachable over HTTP. Risk depends heavily on who has high-privileged access and whether administrative interfaces are restricted. Treat this as a priority for Oracle EBS environments because successful abuse can affect critical business data. It is not rated critical because attacker privileges must already be high, and no active exploitation evidence is provided. Mitigation focus: Identify Oracle E-Business Suite instances running the listed affected versions.; Review Oracle CPU October 2017 guidance for applicable fixes or upgrade direction.; Restrict HTTP access to administrative EBS functions to trusted networks..
