Vulnerability in the Oracle WebCenter Content component of Oracle Fusion Middleware (subcomponent: Content Server). Supported versions that are affected are 11.1.1.9.0, 12.2.1.1.0 and 12.2.1.2.0. Easily exploitable vulnerability allows unauthenticated attacker with network access via HTTP to compromise Oracle WebCenter Content. Successful attacks require human interaction from a person other than the attacker and while the vulnerability is in Oracle WebCenter Content, attacks may significantly impact additional products. Successful attacks of this vulnerability can result in unauthorized access to critical data or complete access to all Oracle WebCenter Content accessible data as well as unauthorized update, insert or delete access to some of Oracle WebCenter Content accessible data. CVSS 3.0 Base Score 8.2 (Confidentiality and Integrity impacts). CVSS Vector: (CVSS:3.0/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:R/S:C/C:H/I:L/A:N).

Security readout for executives and security teams

This is a high-impact Oracle WebCenter Content flaw. An unauthenticated attacker reachable over HTTP could compromise sensitive content data if a separate user interaction condition is met. The main business risk is exposure of critical documents and limited unauthorized data modification. Exposure is most likely in organizations still running the listed Oracle WebCenter Content versions with HTTP access available to attackers or untrusted networks. The source bundle does not identify other affected Oracle products by name. Treat this as a high-priority legacy Oracle middleware issue if WebCenter Content is present. The vulnerability can expose critical content data, but urgency depends on whether affected versions remain deployed and reachable. Mitigation focus: Check Oracle July 2017 CPU guidance for the supported fix path.; Upgrade or patch affected WebCenter Content versions per Oracle guidance.; Reduce untrusted HTTP access to WebCenter Content where feasible..
