Security readout for executives and security teams

CVE-2017-10039 affects Oracle Agile PLM Web Client in versions 9.3.5 and 9.3.6. A low-privileged user with network access over HTTP could, with another person’s interaction, gain unauthorized access to critical Agile PLM data. The main business risk is exposure of product, governance, compliance, or supply-chain information. Exposure is most likely where Oracle Agile PLM 9.3.5 or 9.3.6 Web Client is reachable by low-privileged users over HTTP. Risk increases if access is available to broad internal user groups, partners, or internet-facing portals. Treat as a prioritized remediation item for any affected Agile PLM environment holding sensitive product or compliance data. It is not documented as actively exploited here, but the potential data exposure is material. Mitigation focus: Identify any Oracle Agile PLM 9.3.5 or 9.3.6 deployments.; Consult Oracle July 2017 CPU and current Oracle support guidance.; Restrict Web Client HTTP access to trusted networks and required users..
