Security readout for executives and security teams

This CVE reports hard-coded passwords in Marel food processing terminals, controllers, desktop software, X-ray machines, and weighing systems. The key business issue is that end users cannot change these system passwords, so exposure depends heavily on where these systems are deployed and who can reach them. Likely limited to organizations operating the named Marel food processing equipment or associated software. Risk increases if management interfaces, terminals, or controllers are reachable from shared plant networks, remote access paths, or poorly segmented environments. Prioritize asset discovery and vendor confirmation for any facility using the named Marel systems. Without a cited severity score or exploit evidence, urgency should be driven by exposure: reachable production equipment with unchangeable credentials deserves prompt containment. Mitigation focus: Identify whether any listed Marel systems are deployed.; Check current Marel and CISA/ICS guidance for supported remediation.; Restrict network access to affected terminals, controllers, and software..

Use of Hard-coded Password

Use of Hard-coded Password represents a recurring weakness pattern that can create exploitable paths when design, validation, or implementation controls are missing.
