IBM Emptoris Supplier Lifecycle Management 10.0.x and 10.1.x could allow a remote attacker to conduct phishing attacks, using an open redirect attack. By persuading a victim to visit a specially-crafted Web site, a remote attacker could exploit this vulnerability to spoof the URL displayed to redirect a user to a malicious Web site that would appear to be trusted. This could allow the attacker to obtain highly sensitive information or conduct further attacks against the victim. IBM X-Force ID: 118836.

Security readout for executives and security teams

IBM Emptoris Supplier Lifecycle Management 10.0.x and 10.1.x had an open redirect flaw. An attacker could make a trusted-looking Emptoris link send users to a malicious site, supporting phishing and possible theft of sensitive information. Exposure is limited to organizations running the listed IBM Emptoris Supplier Lifecycle Management versions, especially if users access externally reachable or email-linked supplier portals. The bundle does not identify other IBM products as affected. Handle as a targeted phishing enabler, not as confirmed active exploitation. Priority should rise if affected Emptoris portals are internet-facing, supplier-facing, or used for sensitive procurement workflows. Mitigation focus: Check IBM advisory swg22006854 for fixed versions or vendor workarounds.; Inventory IBM Emptoris Supplier Lifecycle Management versions in use.; Prioritize upgrades or compensating controls for affected 10.0.x and 10.1.x systems..
