Security readout for executives and security teams

CVE-2016-6854 is a cross-site scripting flaw in Open-Xchange OX Guard before 2.4.2-rev5. A malicious email with an inline PGP signature could run script code when a user verifies the signature, potentially hijacking the user session or causing unwanted webmail actions. Exposure is limited to environments running Open-Xchange OX Guard before 2.4.2-rev5, especially where users verify inline PGP-signed email in the web interface. Treat as high priority if OX Guard is present. The impact is account-context compromise through normal webmail behavior, but evidence does not confirm active exploitation. Mitigation focus: Upgrade OX Guard to 2.4.2-rev5 or later where applicable.; Review the Open-Xchange advisory for vendor-specific remediation guidance.; Warn affected users about unexpected PGP verification prompts until remediated..
