Cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability in ZeroClipboard.swf and ZeroClipboard10.swf in ZeroClipboard before 1.0.8, as used in em-shorty, RepRapCalculator, Fulcrum, Django, aCMS, and other products, allows remote attackers to inject arbitrary web script or HTML via the id parameter. NOTE: this is might be the same vulnerability as CVE-2013-1463. If so, it is likely that CVE-2013-1463 will be REJECTed.

Security readout for executives and security teams

CVE-2013-1808 is an XSS flaw in legacy ZeroClipboard Flash files. Affected sites could let an attacker inject script or HTML through a parameter handled by the SWF, creating account, session, or content-integrity risk for users who reach the vulnerable page. Likely exposure is legacy web applications, plugins, themes, or static assets that still serve ZeroClipboard.swf or ZeroClipboard10.swf from versions before 1.0.8. The CVE names several projects but also says other products may include it. Prioritize remediation on internet-facing sites and admin portals that still serve the vulnerable SWF files. The age of the CVE lowers novelty, but legacy assets often persist unnoticed and can still create browser-side compromise risk. Mitigation focus: Upgrade ZeroClipboard to 1.0.8 or later where still required.; Remove obsolete ZeroClipboard SWF files if copy-to-clipboard support is no longer needed.; Patch affected bundled plugins, themes, or applications through their vendor updates..
