Multiple directory traversal vulnerabilities in CMS Chainuk 1.2 and earlier allow remote attackers to include and execute arbitrary local files via a .. (dot dot) in (1) the menu parameter to admin/admin_menu.php, and the id parameter to (2) index.php and (3) admin/admin_edit.php; and (4) delete arbitrary local files via a .. (dot dot) in the id parameter to admin/admin_delete.php. NOTE: vector 2 can be leveraged for static code injection by sending a crafted menu parameter to admin/admin_menu.php, and then sending an id=../menu.csv request to index.php.

Security readout for executives and security teams

CMS Chainuk 1.2 and earlier has directory traversal flaws that could let a remote attacker make the application load local files or delete local files. The source bundle also describes a way this could lead to static code injection. This matters only where legacy Chainuk is still deployed. Exposure appears limited to CMS Chainuk 1.2 and earlier. Risk is highest for internet-facing installations, especially where administrative PHP endpoints are reachable. The structured affected-product fields are incomplete, so teams should verify product identity from asset records and application files. Prioritize remediation if Chainuk is still in use, because the described impact includes remote file execution and deletion. If no Chainuk deployment exists, document non-exposure and close the item after asset validation. Mitigation focus: Identify and retire any CMS Chainuk 1.2 or earlier instances if still present.; Check vendor or archival project guidance for fixed versions or migration advice.; Restrict access to administrative paths until remediation is confirmed..
